Study reveals 1 in 3 EU businesses isn’t in compliance with GDPR

A report from accounting company RSM shows one-third of EU businesses are still working toward complying with the EU General Data Protection Regulation, ITProPortal reports. The report, which is based on responses from 300 companies, shows 57% of respondents have confidence that they are in compliance with the law. Medium-sized businesses are lagging most with compliance while “struggling to understand and implement,� according to the report. “With so much pressure on organisations to meet complex requirements, we saw GDPR fatigue setting in last year,� RSM U.K. Technology Risk Assurance Partner Steven Snaith said.
