Study: London businesses struggling with DSAR influx after GDPR

A study conducted by Parseq found organizations in London have had trouble with the surge of data subject access requests since the EU General Data Protection Regulation went into effect, London Loves Business reports. The study revealed 62% of businesses have seen an increase in requests since the GDPR’s May 2018 implementation date. Of those entities that experienced the uptick, 87% said they have struggled to respond to the influx of inquiries. Cost and complexity were cited as the two top obstacles for businesses that cannot effectively manage the workload.
