Epsilon CPO discusses GDPR work, prep for CCPA

In an interview with AdExchanger, Epsilon Chief Privacy Officer Ashlen Cherry discussed the prospects of a federal U.S. privacy law, the preparation for the California Consumer Privacy Act and the lessons she learned from the EU General Data Protection Regulation. Cherry expects a federal privacy law to go into effect at some point in the future; however, she and other CPOs have to focus on the road in front of them. “It’s CCPA today, who knows which states tomorrow and what could be coming on the federal level,� Cherry said. “We’re preparing where we can and using flexibility as our guiding criteria.� Cherry added Epsilon has looked at its GDPR prep work to see how it can be applied to the CCPA.
